Motion Sensor in Android:
These sensors
measure acceleration forces and rotational forces along three axes(X,Y,Z).
Motion sensors are useful for monitoring device movement, such as tilt, shake,
rotation, or swing. The movement is usually a reflection of direct user
input. In common it is called Gravity Sensor. Motion sensor used for playing games
without any Joystick e.g.( Playing Car games on smartphones while moving change
hands in up and down for right and left turn).
In future developers are
going to use these sensors for multi purposes in the field of Robotics or
Artificial Intelligence. In Artificial Intelligence(AI) scientist are trying to
build a human robot which will act like
human by sensing the motion of human by the means of Motion Sensor. In addition to
Project Natal, Sony last week unveiled its own as yet to be given a catchy name motion-control device. While Project Natal uses a special camera, depth sensor and microphone
to read players movements and recognize their voices, Sony showed off a
controller that looked like a bubble-topped magic wand — a magic wand that
works with the PlayStation Eye camera to let gamers interact with the virtual
world before them in a highly precise manner. Pick up a sword and swing it
around. Aim your bow and fire arrows at oncoming enemies.
